Wine Route
The Ruta del Vino de Alicante wants to be an alternative and differentiating wine tourism proposal in the province. The objective of the Ruta del Vino is to boost the regions of Alicante’s interior with a great viticultural tradition, as well as to promote the tourism of the interior and the set of monuments and tourist resources that treasure these municipalities that also have a typical gastronomy that offers own native dishes and products. The wine represents in our culture and in our provincial tradition a great seal of identity and an economic element of singular importance, differentiating other communities. Algueña, is part of this Wine Route, with it is intended to offer the Enoturist great wine wealth through accommodation between vineyard landscapes, visits to wineries and tasting of wines with identity of the territory, as well as tasting traditional menus and avant-garde pairings.

The “Algueña Speed Trophy” is held in our locality, uninterrupted, since 1991. Considered, currently, one of the most important speed races in Spain that take place in urban circuit, and that welcomes the categories of : 80 cc Series; 80 cc GP; Classic and Supermotard open.
The first Sunday of July, and as the start of the Patron Saint Festivities, Algueña welcomes thousands of visitors and motor enthusiasts to live, at the foot of the track, the adrenaline rush and the atmosphere that will run through its streets turned into a circuit for a day. A transformation that begins days before, with the hard work of the Moto Club Algueña organization and volunteers in the preparation and assembly of said circuit and surroundings, for the enjoyment and safety of all. Circuit that, since 2017, was renamed “Alberto Sáez Cano Urban Circuit”.
THE CLIMATIZATION AND CONDITIONING WORKS FINISHED
Finished the works of conditioning of the new facilities destined for training activities and the air-conditioning of the Theater-Auditorium and Civic-Social Center.

VISIT TO THE GENERAL ACADEMY OF THE AIR OF SAN JAVIER
On the occasion of the Civil Flag Jura that will take place in our municipality soon, a representative of the people who will take oath, made a guided visit to the General Air Academy of San Javier, to know the operation and facilities of The same one, which also is soothes of the Eagle Patrol, aerobatic flight group of the Air Force.
